AUSTRALIA'S GREATEST PRIDE - THE VOLUNTEER
Kellaway J/Kellaway F
Singer songwriter Jane Kellaway and songwriting husband Fred Kellaway,
have put their feelings and words to music.
Earlier this year, Jane & Fred Kellaway penned a song in tribute to the
volunteers of Black Saturday which incorporates volunteers of any kind
around Australia.
The well written and recorded track has just been fully backed by the
Founders of Blaze Aid, Kevin & Rhonda Butler.
BLAZE AID COMMENTS & CREDIBILITY
"Wow this is exceptional in lyrics and song and will go a long long way.
It is powerful and moving and inspirational and may well become the
Australian theme song for all volunteer recognition and promotion efforts.
It's moving theme is way up there with songs such as the Seekers " We are
Australian" Plus I can hear every word... the sentencing is meaningful and
hits right at the core e.g. we volunteers all had challenges of our own
before, during and after the Feb 7 but so many Australians helped as what
I call 'heroes among the ashes'. Congratulations Jane and Fred- I salute
you both for your exceptional piece of music and strength of character-
with character being defined as staying committed to the work long after
the high emotion and enthusiasms have passed".
